Read our interview with Prof Liqiang Mai from School of Materials Science, Wuhan University of Technology (WUT). He talks about his personal journey, materials research at WUT and in China, recent trends on energy materials research, internationalization at school of materials science, and shares his advice for Pakistani materials science community.
Prof Mai currently serves as the Dean of the School of Materials Science at WUT.
"These are two areas that Pakistani scientists must become proficient at. Again, energy is important and given that over 25% of Pakistanis are off grid, Pakistan needs to accelerate is own battery or fuel cell research and make use of its mineral resources."
