Your Future starts here

The available post, funded by the Wellcome Trust, are focused on the design and synthesis of small molecule toxin inhibitors as orally active pre-hospital treatments for snake bites.  Applications from candidates across the range of molecular modelling and medicinal chemistry are highly encouraged. The project involves the rational design via Chemoinformatics and molecular modelling of small molecules and will focus on exploring the structure activity relationships of molecules and their pharmacokinetic properties. Crucial to the vision is the use of Chemoinformatics and molecular modelling to lead laboratory synthesis and testing to achieve compounds that are fit for purpose. Specific activities include: Chemoinformatics analysing SAR data, QSAR, Virtual screening, Pharmacophore modelling, Molecular library generation and ADMET prediction. We wish to attract excellent, ambitious candidates with the relevant skills and high levels of achievement. You should have, or expect to have by October 2021, a PhD in Chemoinformatics or molecular modelling.

The post is available for 12 months.
